In power to the people hurumanu, we learnt about the māori authority system and the British settler government system. This compare and contrast paragraph is about those two systems.
In Aotearoa, there were 2 types of governments. One was the māori authority system, the other was the British settler govern the system. The māori authority system is when people was encharged of their whānau and Tapu was important they had to protect their people, objects and land. In contrast, the British settler government system is when people were innocent until proven guilty and the law was organised to control society and stop people from breaking the rules of society. This matters because its important to know what we māori did and how they solved thing and also how different we were to the British settlers. Also, let us know how much British settlers changed Aotearoa ways.
An interesting paragraph Milan, you have described both autority systems and wjy the we're important. Good thinking.
