I've been learning about empathy and what it means. Empathy is very important for everyone.

Empathy is very important you need to make sure that everyone is ok! You also need to make sure if everything is alright. Some of my friends were sad so then I told them what happened  to me when the same thing happened.
 It took for ages to make this slide the best part about the writing is the part when you have to get into other peoples shoes.

Little garden

Yesterday Rimu class did some gardening with NW little garden. We all choose what we wanted and went to the table get a plate, got the soil tablet wet it, then put the wet soil in the little cup and when you have done that put the seed pallet in and put the rest of the soil in. Here is a photo of me and my plant.

Well it might take for ages for them to grow.

House of Lego

                                                          Lego fun
Today the whole senior hub got to have some fun time with lego. We had Rachel to come to Gilberthorpe school and show the senior hub some lego. There was lot of legos to play and make with. There was some stations so there was plants and gardens, famous building all over the world and all of the animals in the zoo. Here is some tips and photos for lego.

Some tips for lego:
1. Always hold the lego from the bottom when you are putting them on the top of the other so it doesn't break.

2. Be creative with your lego.

3. When you are making a pyramid you have to do the same thing on 1 but then when you get to the end put the 4 squared brick on put it on the top.

Today we did keyboard inquiry. It took for ages for me to get all of them done I am still stuck on the exercise 4 it is taking for ever to get it correct and finished. Here is my score for today.

Today we was doing some handwriting in the start of the year we was going to do some handwriting but we was too busy with other thing here is a photo of the handwriting. I tried my best but oh well.

I know it took for ever about the keyboard typing. Here is some for info about the skill typing. If you want to see how I am going with my keyboard inquiry. Here is a photo. This my recent score:

This means that I can get better at the speed of how I can type.
I think my typing has helped me with my time. So when I am in a rush and I want to finished my work I can be real quick.
My next step is to get more and more better at typing by not looking at the keyboard.

Finally we did it!!!! Last night was a blast it was kind of scary at first but then it was pretty fun. When I got to school I went in Kowhai and get ready for our performance. After all the girls got ready we all went outside for the photos. Then we all went in cars and went to Hornby High. Then we sat in our sets and wait for our time to shine. Then we perform and dance after we were done we all sat down and watch all of the other dance at the end we had a kia went home and went to bed.

Food for thought

Food For Thought!
Today in Rimu class we had Food For Thought where you learn what to eat for your health. Today we had Chloe to come in our class and introduce herself and told us that she is a nutritionist and tells people what is good. Then she taught  us what has sugar and what doesn't have sugar. She asked us what has sugar in them. Some people said Ice cream,Milk,bread and fizzy drink. Then she gave us bags full of paper that has pictures of food and also gave us a big picture and we had to draw a food pyramid. Here is a picture of the food pyramid.

Ski trip 2016

Skiing fun

Today Rimu class is learning how to use screencastify. To test the screencastify we are using our ski trip recount. Hopefully this screencastify turns out good.

I really like how I did my writing because I was really nervous if I messed it up. Next time with my writing I might have to use my vocabulary and make my paragraphs even. Also I have to try and be more creative.
