Okay now I wanted to do a little interview of a famous person. Now the reason why I chose Adele is because I have some little facts about her, so here they are!!

1. Adele's full name is Adele Laurie Blue Adkins.

2. She's an only child. Growing up, it was just her and mum Penny.

3. Adele started singing when she was four years old.

4. She went to a performing arts high school and her classmates included Leona Lewis and Jessie J!

5. Adele was discovered after a friend posted her songs online! A record company saw them and signed her up right away.

6. Her favorite singers are Etta James, Beyonce and Amy Winehouse. She obsessed with the Spice Girls when she was little.

7. Adele won an Oscar for her song"skyfall". She wrote the tune for a James Bond movie called Skyfall.

8. Her song"Hello" has broken tons of records.The music video was viewed 27.7 million times on the day it came out.

9. Adele has a pet-a sausage dog named Lois Armstrong. 

10. She's a mum! Her son Angelo was born in 2012.

11. Poor Adele had surgery on her throat a few years ago! She had a polyp on her vocal chord, which happens to many famous singers. Luckily she's all better now.

12. She's nuts about movies and says,"I watch at least six or seven films a week!" Her favorite actors are Al Pacino and Leonardo DiCaprio.

13. Adele loves to cook for her friends and family. Her favorite food is lasagne!

14. Her loud honky laugh is famous! Somebody even made a YouTube video of all the times Adele has chuckled in interviews and on TV.

I am so excited for tomorrow, I think I won't be able to sleep. Today mum, Nikau and I had to go to the mall to do some Christmas wrapping, It was a bit boring but Nikau and went around the mall to look at the shop and the toys. Nikau and I had a job for Penny Osborne we had to get her a drink from Pak n Save. Any way I am so excited for the presents and to hang out with my family. 

You know that have the best time with your family is most important than Christmas, I know that because lots of kids are most excited for the present than their own family. I will have so much fun with my family and my toys.

Christmas is coming so fast for Christmas my family and I are going to have a BBQ with our new BBQ heater. We are going to have it with friends(not family because the only family that live here are our great grandparents, And they are going to Sydney for Christmas. But we do have one family that are here but we do not know what they are doing). Awell☹

School Holiday

 School Holidays  

On the school holidays I have been really busy. The first exciting thing is that my auntie has came from Wellington, my cousin has came over to CHCH and last but not least I went to the Zirka circus. I am going to make lots of blog post maybe 10 or more, you never know. I think this is the 4 post in the blog. Today my parents are at work so my auntie, Nikau and I are going to got to Inflatible world.

Netball

Netball

On the 16 of December Friday I had my last netball game with the team. It was really sad but exciting, I've been having so much fun through the games. Through out our games I think I have been making SO many good friends through  it. 

We are going to carry on the games and that, mum says that she is going to take me to a netball team that plays for Hornby, Emz, Jazzy and Tamara  are going to do it as well. Well I hope the reast of the girls have fun in the future.😢

My Auntie

My Auntie

Last night my auntie flew all the way from Wellington. She is a teacher from Epuni Primary School. She's been to Canada, USA, Mexico, Cuba, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Germany, Switzerland, London, Spain, Paris, Japan, Korea and a few others. I  slept next to her and watched a movie with her for the night. She is staying till Monday.

Today in Rimu class we tried out this site called Hour of code.

 Do you want to know how people make games or sites for adults well that how they make it, the man that made Facebook he used coding to make the site. 

If you see lots of sites on the technology thingys you will see lots of games. The most sites that use coding is video games, the makers of the games use them a lot of times, you know when you use the Xbox controller well that is like coding as well. There is lots of things that you use that is like coding.

Your brain uses coding as well it tells your part of body when to move and where to move.

It is a amazing thing in life about coding, it's like you are learning new things.

Term 4

I am so glad that I am back to school and it is the last term. This was the best year at the Gilberthorpe school next year I will be a year 6 then after that year I will be a year 7. I've been learning about empathy and what it means. Empathy is very important for everyone.
   Here is a slide about empathy

Empathy is very important you need to make sure that everyone is ok! You also need to make sure if everything is alright. Some of my friends were sad so then I told them what happened  to me when the same thing happened.
 It took for ages to make this slide the best part about the writing is the part when you have to get into other peoples shoes.

Yesterday Rimu class did some gardening with NW little garden. We all choose what we wanted and went to the table get a plate, got the soil tablet wet it, then put the wet soil in the little cup and when you have done that put the seed pallet in and put the rest of the soil in. Today the whole senior hub got to have some fun time with lego. We had Rachel to come to Gilberthorpe school and show the senior hub some lego. There was lot of legos to play and make with. There was some stations so there was plants and gardens, famous building all over the world and all of the animals in the zoo. Here is some tips and photos for lego.

Some tips for lego:
1. Always hold the lego from the bottom when you are putting them on the top of the other so it doesn't break.

2. Be creative with your lego.

3. When you are making a pyramid you have to do the same thing on 1 but then when you get to the end put the 4 squared brick on put it on the top.

This means that I can get better at the speed of how I can type.
I think my typing has helped me with my time. So when I am in a rush and I want to finished my work I can be real quick.
My next step is to get more and more better at typing by not looking at the keyboard.

Finally we did it!!!! Last night was a blast it was kind of scary at first but then it was pretty fun. When I got to school I went in Kowhai and get ready for our performance. After all the girls got ready we all went outside for the photos. Then we all went in cars and went to Hornby High. Then we sat in our sets and wait for our time to shine. Then we perform and dance after we were done we all sat down and watch all of the other dance at the end we had a kia went home and went to bed.
