Last week and this week we had been writing a story about nature. The story was called half and half, at the start I made a diary of an man trying to make to world agree with the same thing. So I wanted to show you may story that I had made hope you like it!!!!!

Here it is!!

Half Life

Hi my name is Matt and I am a scientist. I speak with animals to see how they like environment. Most Of them say that they hate it and the other’s say that one half of them are happy and their other half says that they are not happy about it.

So what I am trying to do now is that I’m trying to make a chemical substance to make the nature plants to regrow so when it does die it grows back again. Right now it is getting really close from a miracle.

“Yeeeeesssss” “I HAVE FINALLY FINISHED” I said with tears in my eyes. I’m so happy that I’ve finished, but right now I need to test it on a dead plant. “An hour later” Spongebob deep voice. Oh yeah it works I have finished it.

I just spoken to the king of animals and nature. He was very pleased that I was named Sir Matt Woodchuck. It was the most happiest day of my life.

Right now I am a nature scientist and I am doing a lot of work with these amazing experience.

Swimming

Last week and this week we have been swimming because our swimming pool has been open. We have been doing swimming lessons with Tracy, she is so amazing and wonderful. 

Swimming is the bomb and I hope that we can do this everyday, speaking of swimming tomorrow we are going to Jellie park and I am really excited I can't tell to much cause I want to tell you of how it went.

I know it is boring but it is good for my learning and I want to get better in maths so today I did stage 6 for prototec and I got a higher point than my friend Jasmine who is in stage 6, which really surprised me. So now less chit chat and show the picture.

Today in the senior hub we have been doing our Student Led Conference before and after morning tea. I have done so much and it was a struggle because the internet was messing up so it was a kind of long process. Our fav teacher Miss Waho did such an amazing job because she made everyone in the hub a slide. So here is the slide I have been working on so hard.

Today I am going to show you my poems that we did some weeks ago for writing and I am going to do screen shots of the poem, now the poems are about winter and that it will be amazing here are the screenshots.

This was kind of easy at the start and that it has been really good so far. Just to say that Cinquain poem is when you have a writing about something and that you have 5 lines of the poem and that it describes a person,place or thing. I hope that explains it catch you later bye.

Now this one here was from last year and it was a little too short from the story and that it didn't really have a bit more info of the story.

Now I know that you cannot read this properly but um this one is one of the best one that I ever had to make and this one is better because it has more punctuation and more spaces to the story.

Comparing denominator

A Complaint Letter

Dear Milan

This is your old friend Desk , now you need to start using me or I will break I’ve had enough with you putting you clean clothes on me.

Plus it is really painful how you never ever use me for your work, why can’t you be excited to just use me  you adopted me  and  you need to  keep your promise that you will use me, I know that you are busy and you always try to keep me clean but it is a waste of time.Plus you always leave stuff on me.

Alright there is one more thing that you need to know is that sometimes  the things that are on me are so painful and that they are really hurting me with the sharp stuff on them. So I hope that everything sounds clear to you and that you will do the things I asked.

In maths I have been learning fractions. This blog post I am going to show you what fractions is and know how to do fractions.

Here is an example:

Nature experiment

You will need/equipment:

• One large metal bowl
• Glad wrap
• A little bowl
• Something light
• Hot boiling water/salt

1. Pour the boiling water inside the large bowl.
2. Put some salt inside the large bowl.
3. Put the small bowl inside the big bowl with the water.
4. Take your glad wrap and put it on top.
5. Put the weight that you have chose and put it on top of the glad wrap.
6. You wait for 30 mins for the cycle to work.

Observation:

Water evaporates under the glad wrap and then the water runs down the centre of the bowl and drops. If you did put in salt you can see that the salt got left on the bottom. It goes on and on until the water cools, and that is the experiment.

How to play Mouthful

How to play Mouthful

The game that I am going to introduce and teach is Mouthful.I chose this because it was my first time using this and telling about it.

Plus it was really fun  to play with friends and family.

1. To start this boardgame is to pick who’s in which team, all of you’ve must have a mouth guard. When you’ve known that everyone one has a mouth guard, one team must go first, they have to read the phrases that's on the cards.
2. There is a timer with the game so you must turn it around You will have all the cards, there will be one person in your team that will have the mouthguard on and they will be reading. The other team mates are going to guess what the reader is saying.
3. When the timer runs out the team has to count how much they have got, all the teams mates take turns and so on for the next team.
4. After everyone has had a turn you count how much you have. When you have counted your cards every time you have finished reading them you wait till the next team have done counted theres.
5. The team that has the most cards is the winner.

How to WIN:

As on the Intructions on top you have to read the phrases really quick and and quess it quick then count how much you have, the one that has the most cards win.

Rules:

-You can not tell the what it is.

-You can not take the mouth thing off to tell them.

Learning Styles

Rimu class has been doing this assessment thing called Learning Styles. You might wonder what it is well it is a test that will ask you things that you would do to help you do your work. What you do is you tick the ones that are more like you, the ones that are not like you is to not tick them you could do much of ticks as you want.

In this site Miss Waho has gave us this self assessment thing where we have the most strongest thing. Here is a photo of my results.

 Here is the results as you can see that my strongest one is the Intrapersonal, if you do not know what it means well here is a screenshot of what it means.

Port Hills FIRE!!

Port Hills FIRE!!

In literacy Rimu has been doing a recount of the Port Hills fire, Miss Morgan has been looking at Rimu work for writing and looking at what they have done.

So the meaning of doing this recount is entertainment and put down how they felt about the fire and how other people felt.

Okay before you look at what I have done I am going to ask you some questions about the recount!

1. Did it entertain you?

2. Did it give you how I felt in the recount?

3. And did it give you the purpose of this writing?

I saw the first fire was when I was at home it got me afraid about everyone. The blazing fire was soo scary it was the most terrifying thing in the world,  I was at my nans and watching the news we heard the news that Port Hills was on fire, I went outside and saw the blazing fire it was so dark and black I couldn’t see the Port Hills.

The fire was really scary ,when it was  morning I was still asleep. I finally woke up and my brother was right in my face yelling that he saw the fire. My grandparents called us in the afternoon and asked us if we saw the fire.

I felt soo bad for the people that lived up on Port Hill, I wonder how they felt when they got evacuated. I hoped that there wasn’t any kids that lived in one of the Port Hills houses. I bet the ones that live on Port Hills  was afraid if their house got burnt down and that the blazing fire comes closer.

Camping n Spencer Park

 Camping n Spencer Park

Camping at Spencer Park was the bomb, it was fun hanging with family and friends. So the day before we went to the park we had to do some stuff before we go, so my mum, dad, brother Nikau and I went to the Park for the my dads birthday. So we just stayed there for the day cause mum and dad were going out for dinner.

The next day we went back to the park but we bought some pjays. The reason why we did id because we stayed for the one night. Nikau and I just got home from our nans, what we did is had a shower, relax and go. First we stopped at the shops to get some food for our trip.

By the time we got to the camp grounds we got all our stuff and put it in my uckles tent. While my parents were talking to there friends I got to hold a baby boy, he was soooooo relaxing and sleepy plus he was really chatty. 

By the time it was dinner I ran all the way to the camp area that we were staying from this big pillow bouncy thingy. After dinner we hat marshmallow with crackers and chocolate. We heated the marshmallows on a stick and the stove.

Then we all had brush our teeth and go to bed. The next morning everyone went to have breakfast and get change into their clothes, they also had to take down their tents cause the kids hade to go to school and the parents had to go to work the next day.

Mum, dad, Nikau and I went home first, when we got home we all had a shower. Mums friend from work is here now with her baby. Well hope you like this post bye!!!!
